Fans of FOX TV sitcom New Girl—starring Zooey Deschanel as Jess—will see Taylor Swift in the May 14 season finale.

She plays a woman named Elaine, and show star Jake Johnson (bartender Nick) says Taylor was “very good.”

In fact, Jake joked to Entertainment Weekly that it's frustrating to have someone so talented come on the set and nail it.

“She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene,” Jake said.

“There were probably 70 extras there—though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. [The producer] gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”

The producer Liz Meriwether said of Taylor, “She kind of came and nailed it.”
