Taylor Makes Red Cross Promise

Taylor Swift has announced that any winnings from the 2009 CMT Music Awards, June 16, will be donated to the American Red Cross.

As part of the awards show, which honors the year's top music videos as voted on by fans, CMT is donating $2,500 to the winner of each category's charity of choice. Taylor is nominated in several categories, including Video of the Year for "Love Story," and she has indicated that if she wins an award, her donation will be made to the American Red Cross. The 2009 CMT Music Awards airs June 16 from the Sommet Center in Nashville at 8 p.m. ET on CMT. Voting is now underway at cmt.com.
