Taylor Loves Speaking the Local Language When She Travels

Taylor Swift is off on another international adventure, as she will be performing Thursday (Nov. 29) at Australia's Aria Awards. Think of them as the Grammys, down under.

Taylor says she loves meeting fans around the world, and she tries to learn at least a little bit of their native languages.

"It's just part of going there—knowing how to say thank you for coming to the show, how are you feeling, are you having fun," she tells an Australian TV talk show host.

"I try to make an effort to let them know I'm here, I'm happy to be here, I know a few things you guys say."

You may recall that Taylor thanked the audience in German at the recent MTV Europe awards show in Frankfurt, where she was one of the night's big winners with three honors.

Following her performance on the Aria Awards, Taylor will cross the Pacific and return home to Nashville for an appearance on CBS' The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! on Dec. 5.
