Taylor, Hank Jr. Earn Top BMI Awards
Taylor Swift and Hank Williams Jr. were among the many artists and songwriters honored at the 56th Annual BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Nov. 11.

Hank Jr. was honored as a BMI Icon for his prolific career and was given an all-star musical tribute from Kenny Chesney, Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd and others. Taylor won Song of the Year for “Teardrops on My Guitar,” the second single from her smash self-titled debut album. Casey Beathard earned his second BMI Country Songwriter of the Year title for hits like “Don’t Blink” by Kenny Chesney, George Strait’s “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls” and others. BMI Awards Photo Gallery
