Taylor Debuts Powerful Song for a Little Cancer Victim

Taylor sings: Come on, baby, we're gonna fly away from here / You were my best four years.

Did you catch Taylor Swift's powerful tribute to a 3-year-old Phoenix boy who died of cancer?

Taylor sang "Ronan"—for cancer victim Ronan Thompson—on the Stand Up 2 Cancer telethon Friday (Sept. 7). She wrote the song after reading blogs by Ronan's mom, who has a co-writing credit.

The song opens with the lines, I remember your bare feet down the hallway / I remember your little laugh / Race cars on the kitchen floor, plastic dinosaurs / I love you to the moon and back.

"Ronan" has been released to iTunes, which will donate proceeds to cancer charities. By Sunday morning (Sept. 9), the song was the best seller on that website.
