Taylor’s Photo Completely Innocent

A representative for Taylor Swift has explained a photo showing Taylor with her arm around a young man wearing a swastika on his shirt.

The photo was taken during pop singer Katy Perry’s birthday party in West Hollywood over the weekend. The picture showed up on the website, tmz.com, and has since circulated in other media. Taylor’s representative told TMZ, "Taylor took pictures with about 100 people that night. She doesn’t know who this guy is and she didn’t realize what was on his shirt.” The “JH” initials on Taylor’s dress likely stand for Julianne Hough, who was also at the party and was seen sporting “TS” (presumably for Taylor Swift) painted on her outfit.

The young man in the shirt, AJ English, says that he is sorry for dragging Taylor into the controversy and told TMZ that he did not know Taylor prior to the party. He explained that the swastika started out as an “X” but became "perverted" during the night as the party went on.

Anyone who knows Taylor realizes that she would have never deliberately taken this photo. Had Taylor noticed what was on the young man’s shirt, she would have nixed the photo altogether.
