Which country stars are going to get the nods as CMT Artists of the Year? Will it be Jason Aldean or possibly Carrie Underwood? Or could it be Luke Bryan or Miranda Lambert? The illustrious list of honorees will be revealed on the CMT Artists of the Year special, airing Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 p.m. ET on CMT.

What we do know is the fabulous lineup of celebrities scheduled for this year's show, hosted by Rascal Flatts and Hayden Panettiere, star of the hit ABC series Nashville. The special will include performances or appearances by Jason, Carrie, Luke and Miranda, along with Kenny Chesney, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, rocker Sammy Hagar and many others.

Many of the performances will pay tribute to the honorees, which leads to some interesting speculation. Since Sammy Hagar is a good buddy of Kenny Chesney, could we guess Kenny as one of the artists being honored? Might we see a duet with Kenny Rogers and Carrie Underwood, with Carrie taking the female parts once sung by Dottie West or Kim Carnes?

The CMT Artists of the Year have historically been the stars who have produced the top hits, best-selling albums and biggest tours of the past year. So, what do you think? Who among this year's amazing crop of talent will receive CMT Artists of the Year honors? Let us know your guesses!
