"I'm still just pinching myself that this is actually happening," Sara raved. Sara noted that the characters in the novel are based on people from her own family life and experiences. "These are characters that I've had in my head for some time," she said. "I insisted that the story had to take place in the South and that it had to deal with mothers and daughters. I wanted the main character to be strong. I think in many ways, she is me." The story revolves around the character of Jade and her search for real love as the family struggles to find redemption and forgiveness. Sara wrote the book with acclaimed writer Rachel Hauck. The Sweet By and By has been released and is available at bookstores nationwide. "I can't wait for people to read it," Sara says.
