Sugarland’s Kristian Bush Sings Springsteen

Sugarland has a long tradition of treating concert-going fans to cool cover songs, and there's one in particular from the duo's summer tour that shows the crowds who's Boss.

During the duo's request-friendly 2012 In Your Hands Tour, Kristian Bush took the lead to perform Bruce Springsteen's classic "Atlantic City." Bush's rendition of the song became a fan favorite and one of the most requested songs of the tour.

"Nebraska was my first Springsteen album, and 'Atlantic City' was the first Bruce song I ever learned," says Kristian of his decision to add the cover into this summer's set. "I loved it from the moment I heard it, and am reminded every time I play it that a great song is a combination of a great story and a compelling performance. It was an acoustic version on his album, haunting and true, and I love interpreting it as a giant country-rock song."

Appropriately, Sugarland is encouraging fans to make donations to the New Jersey Relief Fund for those in Atlantic City and New Jersey impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Check out a video of Kristian's interpretation below.
