Sugarland to Take Time Off

“We’re in the resting process,” says Jennifer.

Sugarland is ready for a break.

After releasing their successful album The Incredible Machine, completing a long run on their Incredible Machine Tour and garnering a win for Duo of the Year at this year's Country Music Association Awards, the past couple of years have been a fast ride for the duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush.

The duo says they are taking some time off before beginning to write for their next album. "We're in the writing—actually, we're in the resting process. Let's be really frank," Jennifer told reporters backstage during the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 9).

"We just got off tour two weeks ago after two years of being on the Incredible Machine Tour, and obviously after quite a tumultuous year, to say the least," she said, referencing the tragic stage collapse in Indianapolis in August, "we are taking a few months just to chill and relax and sleep in our own beds and contemplate how we want to approach what's next."
