Sugarland Gets Pranked—Why Don’t You Shave?

“Oh how we love a good tour prank!” duo posts online after openers make an appearance during “Stay.”

You can't shake Sugarland—not even when the opening acts do something zany in the middle of the duo's most heart-wrenching ballad.

Sugarland hit Salt Lake City on Saturday night (Sept. 1), the duo's next-to-last stop on this tour. And in country music, the pranks start flying when the tour wraps up.

So, as Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush performed "Stay," openers Canaan Smith, Lauren Alaina and Canaan's guitar player, Jason, decided to hit the stage, Sugarland reported on its website.

In the middle of the song, Lauren and Jason started shaving Canaan's chest hair. Bizarre, right?

Sugarland went with it, changing the ballad's lyrics to, "Why don't you shave?"

Says Sugarland: "Oh how we love a good tour prank!"
