Storms Hit CMA Festival

The first night of stadium shows during the 2009 CMA Music Festival was marked by a long delay due to torrential rain, forcing Rascal Flatts to cancel its planned set and other acts to cut theirs short.

Reba McEntire got only three songs into her performance Thursday night before the inclement weather prompted the stadium to be evacuated. After a three-and-a-half-hour delay while the storm passed, fans who stuck around were treated to a few songs from Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker. Rascal Flatts had to leave Nashville promptly for a performance in Oklahoma.
