Steel Magnolia's Grease-inspired new video

Steel Magnolia's Joshua Scott Jones and Meghan Linsey brought some theatrics to their performance of “Last Night Again” on the recent American Country Awards, but the duo says that performance is just a taste of the song’s new video.

Shot in a bowling alley near Nashville, the video’s setup and cast wardrobe was undoubtedly influenced by the classic musical Grease. “We were trying to come up with an idea for our American Country Awards performance, and our manager said, ‘You should do a take on Grease.’ It’s not a bad idea because it’s kind of our vibe anyway,” Meghan tells Country Weekly during the video shoot. “[I have] the blond hair and [Josh has] the leather jacket. That style is kind of the vibe we have onstage as it is. It felt like it would be fun to do.”

Given Grease's heavy emphasis on dance and choreography, the duo does a little more than just sing during the video. We had to ask, do they consider themselves good dancers?

“I was in dance classes as a kid, but I kind of have two left feet, so I’m not sure it worked out well for me,” says Meghan with a laugh.

“I’ve always just loved dance music,” says Josh. “I’ve never had any training, but I like a good groove.” His favorite dance artist? The King of Pop. “Michael Jackson had some of the best dance music there was. You hear a song like ‘Billie Jean’ come on the radio, and that bass line and beat, you can’t help but want to move to it. Anything with a good steady move.”

So has Josh ever broken out some dance moves à la "Thriller"? “Not that I remember,” Josh says.

“He tried to,” counters Meghan.

"Somebody might tell you differently," Josh concedes.
