The Stars’ Thanksgiving Thoughts: Is There Turkey in Tokyo?

Chris Young’s biggest Thanksgiving gratitude: “My dad. . . beat lung cancer.”

A couple of country stars have some interesting plans for Thanksgiving (Nov. 22), including Taylor Swift, who'll be traveling in Tokyo.

"I will be in Japan for Thanksgiving," she tells CountryWeekly. "So I probably won't be having the traditional Thanksgiving dinner at all."

Clemson grad Lee Brice will be back at his alma mater Friday (Nov. 23) to play his first arena show on campus.

And country stars are just like us: All of them said they're thankful first and foremost for family.

"I'm thankful for my son, my wife and great health," Eric Church told reporters.

Darius Rucker seconds that emotion: "Oh, my main thing I’m thankful for is my family. No doubt about that."

And Chris Young has a special reason to be grateful.

"My dad, I think almost a couple years ago, beat lung cancer," he said. "So, he's still around. Having him is amazing. When someone has something like that, you're just kind of blessed for every day you have ‘em. It makes you realize how fragile that is sometimes."
