Stars Stand Up to Cancer
Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes will help debut the single, “Just Stand Up,” during the Stand Up to Cancer fundraising event, airing on the ABC, CBS and NBC television networks Friday night, Sept. 5, at 8 p.m. ET.

The one-hour special from the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles will be presented commercial-free. The event is designed to raise awareness for the fight against cancer. “It seems like everyone has been touched by cancer these days,” Carrie says, “whether it be a personal experience, a family member or friend, or their families. If by participating in this charity effort, I entice just one person to give funds for cancer research, then it will be so worthwhile.” Sugarland is also scheduled to perform on the star-studded TV special.
