STARS SET FOR CMA MUSIC FEST SPECIAL

Brooks & Dunn, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Dierks Bentley are just some of the stars lined up for the prime time TV special, CMA Music Festival: Country Music’s Biggest Party, July 24 at 9 p.m. (ET) on ABC.

The special will feature several performances and will also follow the stories of Festival attendees who were granted a surprise personal meeting with their favorite stars. “Not only do we get to meet the fans, we also have this great opportunity on TV,” says Sara Evans, who performs on the special. “So many people dream of going there, the fact that they can see some of the performances on television is great.” The 2006 CMA Music Festival was the largest in history, with more than 160,000 in attendance.
