Taylor Swift, named Favorite Female Artist, took the stage and gushed, "Thank you! What a beautiful way to start up a new decade. Thank you so much! I want to thank the fans. You're the ones who choose which songs on the radio you want to turn up and blast from your car radio and you're the ones who choose what concerts you want to go see. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing to give me this award."

After winning his first People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Artist, Keith Urban thanked his fans. "Thank you very much," Keith said to the screaming crowd. "Thank you to everybody that voted for this and everybody watching at home ... this means everything to me." He then made a very surprising admission, inviting fans to get his music any way they can, even if that means downloading it illegally! "I really don't care," he said. "I love the people here and the music."

Keith finished by thanking his wife, Nicole Kidman. "To my wife Nicole, I love you so much, baby girl, and I just thank you for giving me the only inspiration I need.

"It was obviously a very great 2009 for me, and that was of course because of the fans," Carrie Underwood happily admitted upon accepting her award for Favorite Country Artist. "It's going to be an even better 2010! I'd like to thank God for giving everybody in this room a love for entertainment and talent, and I just thank God that He's blessed us with such wonderful things."
