Kenny Rogers celebrates an amazing half-century in the entertainment business on a star-studded GAC special, Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years, which premieres Tuesday, March 8, at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The special features stars including Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Billy Currington, Wynonna Judd and others paying musical tribute to Kenny. Tim performs Kenny's classic "She Believes in Me," while Kenny and Wynonna duet on "Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer." Kenny also joins Dolly and pop singer Lionel Richie for "Through the Years," and all the stars participate in the show's big finale, "Islands in the Stream."

Kenny notes that there is a reason behind the title of the special. "When this was first proposed to me as a 50-year celebration, something about that sounded final, and I didn't want that," he says. "So, I suggested we call it 'The First 50 Years.'" The show will have repeat airings on GAC throughout the month.
