Softball Game Raises $100,000

One of the biggest events of CMA Music Festival, the star-studded City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge presented by Gibson Foundation, raised more than $100,000 for the City of Hope.


Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Vince Gill and many other stars participated in the game, held June 4 at Nashville’s Greer Stadium. All proceeds from the contest went to the City of Hope, a leading research center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. And the fundraising continues as fans can bid online for celebrity items from such stars as Sara Evans and James Otto at through July 10.
