Reporters and fans alike are having fun trying to guess which of Taylor's exes prompted her to write the song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Was it Joe Jonas? Jake Gyllenhaal? John Mayer or Taylor Lautner?

Come to think of it, why has she dated so many famous guys?

"I think I have to trust that you end up with the person you're supposed to end up with, and that everything in between is there to teach you stuff," Taylor tells the British version of Marie Claire.

"Plus," she adds, "it makes for great stories when you're older."

It also makes great fodder for huge radio hits -- and Taylor makes no apologies for singing about her exes' bad behavior.

"Music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for. It's not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it," she says.
