So Why Does Luke Bryan Rock a Baseball Cap Instead of a Cowboy Hat?

Luke says a pro baseball buddy gave him a cap, and then good things started happening.

Did you know that Luke Bryan and Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche are hunting buddies?

In fact, Adam is the one who got Luke wearing those signature baseball caps, Luke tells the Today show for an off-air “backstage” segment that NBC posted online.

“He gave me this hat and I just started wearing it. And good things started happenin’,” Luke said. “So, uh, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

So no cowboy hat?

“You know, I grew up in South Georgia as a country boy. I never really was like a cowboy,” he said.

“So I always felt like a cowboy truly oughta rock a cowboy hat. I’m just kind of country boy/ex-baseball player, so I oughta wear a country boy/ex-baseball player hat.”
