Singer Buck Jones Killed in Texas

Up-and-coming singer Buck Jones, 33, was struck and killed by a drunk driver late Friday night, March 16, on Texas Highway 30.

Buck, recently featured in Country Weekly’s “Who’s New” section, was killed as he walked along an interstate service road, and the driver is being held on an intoxicated manslaughter charge. Buck, a 2006 SESAC award winner, had been performing extensively in Texas promoting his CD Lucky Star. His most recent performance came during the recent Country Radio Seminar in Nashville with top songwriter Jeffrey Steele and Jason Meadows.
