The in-depth conference is for aspiring songwriters and professionals. Activities range from hit songwriter performances and an "open mic" showcase for attendees to co-writing sessions and workshops led by top music industry professionals from Nashville, New York and Los Angeles. Hit songwriters who will lead workshops and perform during the event include Rick Carnes, Casey Kelly, Randy Sharp, Barbara Cloyd and Lisa Aschmann.

Workshops will cover topics such as writing for Music Row, publicizing one's career, overcoming writer's block, the business of songwriting, and writing for film and TV. "This is a wonderful opportunity for beginning and emerging tunesmiths to learn from some of the top professionals in the field," said Kimberly Maiers Shaw, central project manager for the Songwriters Guild of America Foundation.
