Show Must Go On—Pregnant Jennifer Nettles Is Ready for Christmas

But the Sugarland lead singer won't make as many costume changes during CMA Country Christmas.

Country fans and artists are still buzzing about the CMA Awards, but there's little time for reflection for a handful of those country stars.

ABC tapes its annual CMA Country Christmas special on Saturday night (Nov. 3).

And Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland will have a Santa-like belly to deal with during wardrobe changes when she hosts the show. That's why there will be fewer of them this year.

Jennifer tells The Tennessean she still can't believe she's subjecting herself "to the grand eye of television when you already feel as wide as a barn.”

But hey, it's Christmas, and Jennifer loves a variety show—and she's got Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, CMA Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town, Martina McBride and a bunch of others bringing the variety.

And hey, everyone loves a baby.

“I thought people loved a wedding. Please. People love a baby," Jennifer says.

"And they love buying little things, and there is something about things in miniature and small—they cannot help themselves. I think it’s going to be a fun Christmas and a really special one, as well. Our family is growing, and it’s such a reason to celebrate.”
