Margaret shares her thoughts and special memories about the holiday with CountryWeekly.com.

How are you planning to spend Halloween this year?
I love an opportunity to dress up, especially if it means I get to wear something outrageous and out of the ordinary. This year, I am going to celebrate with my friends and have a Halloween party.

Have you planned your costume yet?
I have a few ideas, but I haven't made my final decision. In honor of [late Apple co-founder] Steve Jobs, I was thinking about being one of the dancing silhouettes from the Apple commercials. Not sure I can pull that one off, though.

Was Halloween a special celebration when you were growing up?
I celebrated Halloween every year growing up and I have great memories of the holiday. There is so much excitement in the air on Halloween and it seems to really kick the season of fall into full gear.

Was there a memorable Halloween memory/costume that stands out?
My mom and I made a Loch Ness monster costume when I was in second grade and I remember being so incredibly proud of the finished product. We made it out of a green sweat suit, kitchen and cleaning materials, lots of fabric paint and egg cartons, and I was one scary monster.

Most years, the Halloween costume wouldn't be retired until after Thanksgiving. That’s how much I loved wearing the costumes. I guess that explains why I look forward to Halloween every year.
