Shakespeare Goes Country

Nashville songwriter Marcus Hummon and actor Adrian Pasdar, the husband of Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines, are the creators of the new musical Atlanta. The show will run through Jan. 6 at L.A.’s Geffen Playhouse. Set during the Civil War, Atlanta mixes the words of William Shakespeare with bluegrass and country music. Marcus has penned hits for Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw and others, while Adrian is the star of TV’s Heroes.
