Secret Revealed: Miranda Lambert Was a Goody-Two-Shoes

We love that Miranda Lambert’s a badass, but that wasn’t always the case.

In fact, Miranda says she was a “real goody-two-shoes” in high school in Texas.

“I was a cheerleader. I sang in church, and was just straight down the middle,” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “Then I started playing bars at 19 and was like, ‘Oh! There’s a world.’”

And it’s a world where Miranda made her own souvenirs—she painted cowboy hats—to sell to fans after the show.

“I would buy them in bulk at Walmart, paint them like the Texas flag, crimp them around the edges, and then sell them for gas money to get home,” Miranda said.
