Every year NBC has a star-studded television special to celebrate the lighting of the Christmas tree at New York City's Rockefeller Center.

For this year's edition, Scotty McCreery and Trace Adkins will add a little Southern drawl to Christmas at Rockefeller Center, which airs live at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday (Nov. 28).

Scotty just released his Christmas with Scotty McCreery album—and sent his followers a nice pic of a brightly lit fireplace—so he's definitely getting in the holiday spirit.

"Excited to have just been added to the Christmas in Rockefeller Ctr show in NYC!" he tweeted Saturday (Nov. 24).

Trace recently recorded his own version of the Christmas classic "We Three Kings," which he will perform at the lighting.

Other stars on the special include Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey and pop star/Blake Shelton's The Voice buddy Cee Lo Green.
