SUPER CARRIE

It didn't take long for American Idol champ Carrie Underwood to make a splash on the charts. Carrie sold nearly 315,000 copies of her debut CD Some Hearts in its first week of release, setting an all-time record. It's the highest number of sales in a seven-day period for a country artist releasing a debut album. To top it off, it also marked the best sales week ever for a former American Idol winner. As a result, Carrie rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard magazine country album chart, and came in at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200. Carrie's current single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel," also sits in the top 20.
