"LINE" UP FOR CASH MOVIE

Suzanne Tenner/Fox

Walk the Line, the new movie detailing the life and career of Johnny Cash, hits theaters today (Nov. 18). Both Joaquin Phoenix, as Johnny, and Reese Witherspoon, who plays Johnny's wife June Carter, have drawn raves and early Oscar buzz for their performances. Ironically, Reese grew up in Nashville, but didn't have much knowledge about the Cash family or Johnny's music. "I got all the albums, all the videotapes, called everybody in Nashville to get more books and more tapes," says the actress. And, yes, Reese and Joaquin do their own singing in the film. Also starring are singer Shelby Lynne as Johnny's mother and Shooter Jennings, playing his real-life dad Waylon Jennings.
