The guys of Lonestar—Richie McDonald, Dean Sams, Michael Britt and Keech Rainwater—vow that they'll never come up with a costume concept for Halloween after their one nightmarish attempt. One year on Halloween, they decided to dress up as 70s Disco band The Village People, and walked out onstage as a sailor (Michael), police officer (Richie), cowboy (Dean) and Native American (Keech, in full headdress). The Village People's most famous hit, "YMCA," blared through the sound system, but what proved really deafening was the crowd's silence. As Keech recalls, "I don't think the audience got it."
