KEITH URBAN ON VOCAL REST

According to the Evansville, Ill. Courier & Press, Keith Urban cancelled his show last Thursday after a doctor diagnosed a bruise on his right vocal cord. The Evansville show was rescheduled for February 1, 2006. It's unknown whether or not the tour will be affected, but Keith has a follow-up appointment today with his physician, Dr. Stephen Mitchell, who stated, "We'll reevaluate him, and at that point we'll make a determination as to how much longer we need to rest him or whether we can start to bring him back." In 2003, Keith faced similar vocal problems, canceling some shows and going on vocal rest for two months. Keith is scheduled to start a British tour on Wednesday, October 12.
