Last Saturday night, Dierks Bentley played his most important gig of the year—his Grand Ole Opry induction. On October 1, Dierks became the youngest member of the Opry, as he was officially inducted by Marty Stuart. "This here is the ultimate backstage pass," Dierks said, holding up his Opry member award. "Maybe I could get this on a laminate? I share this honor with these guys behind me who ride the bus. Thanks!"

After the induction, Dierks told X Radio, "It's hard to really put in words. It still seems
surreal . . . I think the next time I go back, just as a member and just me and the band, just kind of a more quieter kind of thing, I think it's gonna be really rewarding. It's truly rewarding right now. I'm glad it all went off without a hitch and I got a lot of family and friends here that I want to make sure have a good time and get a chance to see them too . . . I'm really grateful and I feel that my intentions are true and I love the Opry and I love traditional country music . . . and I look forward to . . . taking it out there on the road with us and promoting it to another generation of country music fans."

In addition to family and friends, Dierks beloved dog Jake was there to celebrate the momentous occasion.
