RENÉE SETS RECORD STRAIGHT
ON "OTHER MAN" STORY

Apparently more than a little peeved with the New York Post's "Page Six" column, which reported Oct. 3 that another man was the reason for her split with Kenny Chesney, Renée Zellweger took matters into her own hands and set the record straight with "Page Six." According to an account by the paper today, she stopped by the "Page Six" offices and requested a meeting in the lobby, where she said in no uncertain terms, "I just wanted to tell you that story was hurtful about me being with another man. It wasn't true, and it made me look slutty." The Post had picked up on a Women's Wear Daily report that Renée was planning a trip to Ireland "to visit her new beau, Irish singer Damien Rice." According to Renée, she and Damien are old friends. And, although she confessed to being a Red Sox fan, she denies being romantically involved with the guy she accompanied to a recent Red Sox game. The saga continues.
