School Considers “Taylor Swift Auditorium”

Taylor Swift’s old high school likely will re-name its auditorium after her after she made a $75,000 donation to re-do the venue’s sound and lighting systems, the town’s newspaper reports.

But officials with Hendersonville High School, about 25 minutes north of Nashville, insist it has to do with a whole lot more than the donation.

It’s “an honor befitting her generous spirit,” Principal Joni Worsham tells the newspaper.

Taylor also donated $100,000 to help rebuild parks for kids in Hendersonville after the Nashville-area floods destroyed them. And Taylor also was known to be a kind and loving student when she went to the high school her freshman and sophomore years before home schooling.

Oh, and did we mention Taylor has performed on that very high school auditorium stage?

The school district is supposed to give a final green light on Taylor Swift Auditorium Oct. 19.
