Sara Evans Sued by Ex-Nanny

Alison Clinton Lee, the former nanny of Sara Evans, has sued the country star for “slanderous and libelous statements.”

The suit says that the statements were made during Sara’s divorce filings from husband Craig Schelske in October of 2006. Lee and her husband are seeking $3 million in damages from Sara and her attorneys. Sara claimed that Lee had an affair with Schelske, an affair that has been denied by Lee. She has demanded that Sara retract the statement. Her court complaint says that stress over the accusations aggravated an earlier illness, an eating disorder, and has caused her to seek additional treatment. Lee has incurred medical bills and has suffered both “physical and mental pain and suffering,” according to the suit. Lee worked for the family for several years until 2004, when her struggles with anorexia forced her to stop.
