SARA EVANS FINDS HERSELF

For Sara Evans, it took a few years and a few albums to hone in on her musical and personal style. "I was trying to figure out what's the best way for me, what kind of music, who am I really?" she admitted. "What's the best way to stay skinny, what's the best way to do my hair, what's the best way to dress? It took me pretty much all of my 20s to learn and it wasn't until after Avery was born that it just clicked, it all came together." After it clicked, Sara found a new confidence. "I decided I'm going to be the best mother, woman, person that I can possibly be," she said. "And I said to myself, I'm going to also be the cutest mom! 'Cause I was so scared of becoming a mother and then getting old and looking fat and frumpy and old. So I went so far the opposite direction and we came out with Born To Fly and the video for 'Born To Fly,' and that's when I really came into my own, that's when I really got it."
