SARA EVANS DANCES WITH THE STARS

Sara Evans will be a contestant on this fall’s season of the hit ABC-TV talent competition Dancing With the Stars, in which professional dancers pair with celebrities to show off their hoofing abilities.

“I absolutely love to dance,” says Sara. “I spent a lot of time in the bars, dancing and two-stepping.” Sara reports that she was encouraged to take part in the show by actress Lisa Rinna, who competed last season. “She said it was the best experience of her life,” Sara recounts. “And I think that's a lot of people's secret dream, to be a famous dancer.” When she makes her “Dancing” debut partnered with professional dancer Tony Dovolani Sept. 12, Sara will be competing against such notables as talk-show host Jerry Springer, pro football player Emmitt Smith, actor Harry Hamlin, actress Vivica A. Fox, conservative pundit Tucker Carlson and pop singer Willa Ford.
