SARA EVANS’ HUSBAND DENIES ALLEGATIONS
Craig Schelske says adultery, porn accusations in divorce papers are part of an “unfortunate campaign.”
Sara Evans’ husband, Craig Schelske, on Friday (Oct. 13) denied her charges that he committed adultery, verbally abused her and was fixated on pornography. Those and other accusations were included in divorce papers filed by the singer on Thursday.
“I have made the decision to forgive Sara for the unfortunate campaign that she and her publicity advisers are currently waging,” Schelske said in a statement. “I adamantly deny the allegations that are being made.” He added that Sara “has become a dramatically different person over the last year” and said he will ”pray for her.”
Her lawyer told Nashville newspaper The Tennessean later the same day, “There is a factual basis for all of the allegations made in this complaint.” Sara has requested a temporary restraining order against Craig.
Sara claims that her soon-to-be-ex had an affair with the former nanny to their three children; kept photos on his computer of himself having sex with other women; was discovered by one of their children watching pornography on TV; forbade a Dancing with the Stars stylist from entering their home, declaring the man was a “sodomite”; and often threatened her, among other charges.
