Sammy Kershaw OK Following Bus Accident

Sammy Kershaw admits to being a bit shaken after his tour bus was damaged in an accident in Nocona, Texas, over the weekend. But he's also thankful that no one in his band or crew suffered serious injuries.

Sammy and his crew were involved in a highway accident on Friday (Nov. 2) when his tour bus was hit by a passenger vehicle. The impact occurred at high speed, leaving the bus inoperable. The driver of the passenger car was taken to the hospital with injuries. Sammy, his band and crew members were not seriously injured.

In a statement about the accident, Sammy noted that he was feeling some soreness but was otherwise all right. "Eleven people were involved in the accident and no one was killed," he said. "It could have gone the other way. I'm so thankful that the other driver, my band and crew are still here. We had a guardian angel."

Sammy, whose biggest hits include "Cadillac Style" and "She Don't Know She's Beautiful," added that he will not have to cancel any upcoming concerts and will use other means of transportation as his bus undergoes repairs.
