SAFARI ROGERS

Kenny Rogers and his wife, Wanda, left for an African safari on July 18. They will be accompanied by a total of 25 family and friends including Rogers' son Christopher. Kenny has visited Africa twice before, and his interest in photography has lured him back once again. The varied landscape of the continent is one of the main draws for the country legend.

"It's like a 'greatest hits' of photography. Everywhere you turn is a wonderful picture," said Rogers.

In the past, Rogers has visited South Africa and Kenya--where he will be staying again. This time around, Kenny and company will be checking out the Serengeti Plain where many beautiful vistas are likely to present themselves to the star.

This latest trip to Africa will also serve as the honeymoon Kenny and Wanda never had.

"We've been together for 10 years and married 4 years and we're just now going--so I need to step on it I think," said Kenny.

Kenny and his friends are set to return from their African adventure on July 27, and Kenny will be performing in Sandusky, Ohio on July 28.
