It's the opportunity of a lifetime for aspiring songwriters. The event takes a group of talented, upcoming songwriters to a ranch in Wyoming, where they will learn to ride horses and, more important, get to hone their songwriting skills with Skip and fellow writers Deanna Bryant and Clay Mills. Selected applicants receive songwriter mentoring in the areas of creativity, co-writing, craftsmanship and more. Here's how you can sign up for the trip and possibly receive a full scholarship worth $2,500, which means you'll pay no tuition for the week. Just visit horseandwriter.com and read the instructions on how to apply. But hurry -- all applications must be received by May 15.
