Rumor Confirmed: Carrie Is on Next Aerosmith Album

Carrie and lead singer Steven Tyler sing a "country-Western crossover ballad" together, he says.

The rumors have been flying for months: Will country's Carrie Underwood be on Music From Another Dimension!, the new Aerosmith album?

Lead singer Steven Tyler tells Rolling Stone magazine that the answer is yes. The two perform a "country-Western crossover ballad" called "Beautiful."

And Aerosmith's Joe Perry says he wasn't so sure about the idea at first.

But at the end of the day, Perry says, "Their voices matched up really well. It doesn't sound forced. It was just right."

That's not a huge surprise: Carrie and Steven have performed together a couple of times, once at the Academy of Country Music Awards and another time for a special Super Bowl edition of CMT Crossroads.

The Aerosmith album is coming out in November.
