Ronnie Dunn to Put Out Solo Album

Dunn, Ronnie 2010

Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn could have a solo album out as early as next year, CMT.com reports.

Ronnie has recorded several solo songs that he has played for folks, and he’s getting together enough songs for an album that’ll come out on the longtime Brooks & Dunn label home, Arista Nashville, his manager tells the Web site.

Ronnie recorded a cover of Gary Stewart’s 1975 No. 1 hit, “She’s Actin’ Single (I’m Drinkin’ Doubles),” for the upcoming Gwyneth Paltrow/Tim McGraw movie Country Strong.

Ronnie’s no stranger to songwriting, scoring credits for many Brooks & Dunn hits, including “Brand New Man,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and “Play Something Country.”
