Rodney kicked off his big day at Nashville’s ASCAP office with a lunch gathering, honoring one of the song’s co-writers, Marla Cannon-Goodman. Later in the afternoon, Rodney celebrated with writer Casey Beathard at the BMI office. This marks the fourth consecutive No. 1 single for Rodney, who had struggled for years to have radio hits. “We’ve had songs that died in the 50s on the chart,” Rodney told members of the Nashville media. “To have all four of these songs go No. 1 . . . it’s amazing.”
