Rodney Atkins rapping? Well, not exactly, but the “Take a Back Road” singer recently joined forces with hip-hop artist Bubba Sparxxx (remember “Ugly”?) on a duet that has the two switching off rapped verses from Bubba with countrified choruses from Rodney.

“Right” is featured on Bubba’s Pain Management album and was presented to Rodney last year for the possible collaboration. After hearing the song with a strong and powerful message about hoping to some day get it all right, Rodney knew he was all in.

“When he sent me the tune, I thought it was such a great song,” Rodney tells Country Weekly. “A great song is a great song. I’m not a rapper. Everybody’s rapping these days; I’m not rapping. I’m singing the chorus on it, and it’s a real country chorus. It’s a cool song, and I love what the song says.”
