The annual CMA Music Festival is known for bringing unannounced guests to the big stage at LP Field, home to NFL's Titans, and Saturday night (June 9), it was Rodney Atkins.

Rodney says his managers got a call from Little Big Town to ask if he would be part of LBT's set.

"It was a no-brainer right there," Rodney told reporters. "Little Big Town is just incredible."

Rodney cranked out his new single, "Just Wanna Rock and Roll," for the stadium crowd.

That was part of a busy festival for Rodney.

In one day, Rodney said, he spent the "morning at a fan club party. . . . From that, to my little boy had a baseball game, and then back downtown with Darius Rucker at the Wildhorse. It's amazing. I’m blown away."
