Rodney Answers: Who’s the Director?

Rodney Atkins was surprised to learn that fellow star and friend Luke Bryan directed his current video, “Farmer’s Daughter,” as has been reported on some online news items (and even Luke’s Wikipedia page).

The director of the clip is actually Chris Hicky, who has helmed such projects as Keith Urban's "Kiss a Girl," Miranda Lambert's "White Liar" and others.

The question about Luke was brought up during a recent Country Weekly interview with Rodney. "That's hilarious! So, Luke's directing videos now?" Rodney laughed, assuring that Chris was indeed the director. "I'm not sure where that would have come from. A couple of the writers on the song [Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip] are from the same part of Georgia that Luke is and they all know each other. But that's about the only thing I can think of. Who knows how that got started?"
