ROBISON AND PAISLEY STAR IN WAR OF THE WORDS

Charlie Robison and Brad Paisley have been exchanging some words lately -- and from what we've gathered, those words aren't so friendly.

Without going into all the gory details, let's just say that Charlie isn't afraid to say exactly how he feels, and doesn't mince words.

"Even if I go to bed feeling like something I said may have been over the top, I still have an easier time sleeping than if I wouldn't have said anything at all," he says.

As for Brad, he has some words of his own, released through his website: "To my fans and friends, I appreciate the fact that you feel compelled to take up for me regarding a few of the comments made recently. However, I want to please ask that you refrain from doing so, especially on other websites and by resorting to vulgarity of any kind. I'd rather we talk about productive things, not destructive, and show class by not resorting to retaliation. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, not everyone's gonna like me, and that's okay. I'm just glad you all do!"

The newspaper the "Tennessean" has documented most of the action, for those interested in details.
