Report: Keith Urban “Looks Set to Return” to “American Idol”

Keith Urban “looks set to return” to American Idol, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Keith Urban “looks set to return” to the American Idol judges panel, The Hollywood Reporter says in a new story.

No official word has come from any of the TV show producers or from Keith himself.

Randy Jackson—the sole remaining original judge—and fellow 2013 judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have all said they won't return for the 2014 season.

So show producers are in a tizzy as they start from scratch—and also deal with the show's lowest ratings in a decade. This year's season finale drew about 14 million viewers, down from 21 million viewers the season before.

Other names being floated for the judges panel: 2012 season star Jennifer Lopez, American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson and Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas.

Stay tuned . . .
